【摘要】:TheBPIisdesignedtoyieldquantitativeinformationconcerningneutronbeamandimagesystemparametersthatcontributetofilmexposure,andthereby,affectoverallimagequality.Forpropermeasurementsoffilmexposureduetotheneutronbeamconstituents,theBPImustbefabricatedinaccordancewiththispractice.ThispracticeshallbefollowedforthefabricationofallBeamPurityIndicatorstobeusedwithMethodE545todetermineimagequalityindirectthermalneutronradiography.1.1ThispracticecoversthematerialandfabricationofaBeamPurityIndicator(BPI),whichcanbeusedtodeterminetherelativequalityofradiographicimagesproducedbydirect,thermalneutronradiographicexamination.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsareregardedtobestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
